Locally Owned. Licensed. 15+ Years in the Dirt.

MB General Contracting is owned and operated by Matthew Buhlinger, a licensed general contractor with more than 15 years running equipment across south-central Missouri. What started as dirt work has grown into a full site-work and concrete operation — but the approach hasn't changed: show up, work hard, and do the job right.

We're based in St. James and we work where we live. When you call, you're talking to the person who'll actually be on your job — not a call center three states away. That means straight answers, fair pricing, and someone who stands behind the work.

What Sets Us Apart

• One crew, whole job. We clear, excavate, grade, drain and pour concrete in-house — no juggling separate subcontractors.
• Licensed & experienced. A licensed general contractor with 15+ years of hands-on work behind every project.
• Local knowledge. We know Phelps County ground — the rock, the clay, the slopes and the weather — and build accordingly.
• Right equipment. Dozers, excavators, skid steers and mulchers to match the job, big or small.
• Honest estimates. Free, in-person, no-pressure quotes so you know exactly what to expect.
